Best Undetectable VPNs in 2026 (Obfuscation Tested)
No VPN is undetectable to everyone — an ISP can always see you are sending encrypted traffic somewhere. What obfuscation does is make that traffic look like ordinary HTTPS so filters that block VPN protocols let it through, and it hides the VPN from services that check whether an IP belongs to a VPN provider.

What is the most undetectable VPN?
We haven't tested this ourselves. NordVPN (NordWhisper or obfuscated servers) and ExpressVPN (automatic obfuscation) both publish dedicated stealth protocols built for DPI-filtered networks. A dedicated IP makes any of them harder to flag by reputation.
Can a VPN be truly undetectable?
Not entirely. Networks can see encrypted traffic exists; obfuscation hides that it is VPN traffic. Websites can be prevented from knowing you use a VPN by using a dedicated or residential IP.
Which free VPN is undetectable?
Proton VPN Free's Stealth protocol is built for filtered networks; we have not tested it against one ourselves. It shares IPs with many users, so streaming services may still flag it.
Why do websites detect my VPN?
Shared VPN server IPs are listed in reputation databases. A dedicated IP (NordVPN, Surfshark, PureVPN offer them) or a residential VPN avoids that.
