Free VPN tools
These are the checks we run ourselves every time we test a VPN, rebuilt so you can run them too. No sign-up, no email, nothing stored — and each one tells you plainly whether a VPN would actually change the answer.
Scores and prices come from tests run September 4, 2026.
These are our own testing steps, rebuilt so you can run them on your connection: what your IP says about you, whether anything leaks, how much speed a VPN costs you, and what a plan really costs.

A DNS leak test on our own authoritative nameserver, a speed test that runs before and after you connect, a server picker that tells you which country to choose for a given job, and a deal tracker with live expiry dates. If one of these would be useful sooner, say so — the order is not fixed.
